The Physicians at AAOC have over 50 years experience in the field of Rheumatology and have participated in over 300 clinical research studies.

This experienced team of doctors, headed by Dr. Alan Kivitz, is complemented by a growing staff of professionals dedicated to meet the needs of our patients.

Dr. Shaw

Dr. Marianne Shaw is a native of Central Pennsylvania, having graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and her Medical Degree from Temple University.

Following medical school, Dr. Shaw completed her internal medicine training at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, also in Cleveland. After completion of her fellowship, Dr. Shaw spent the next six years as an attending rheumatologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

While serving as an attending rheumatologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Shaw was the recipient of the American College of Rheumatology Clinician Scholar Educator Award.
